J Ginger Masonry has a current opportunity available for a full time Construction Commercial Driver. The essential duties and responsibilities include:
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Operated vehicle in accordance with J Ginger Masonry, LP, OSHA, and Department of Transportation requirements as well as local, state and federal laws.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report)
• Knows how to manage and operate electronic Logbook.
• Immediately reports all unsafe situations or service-related issues to the Superintendent
• Notifies Superintendents of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Ensure that loads are properly secured.
• Maintain a positive attitude around coworkers and customers and act professionally and courteously.
• Ability to work according to Hours-of-Service Regulations.
• Always wear proper PPE.
• Ability to drive to various job sites.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three years or more related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Commercial Driver’s license and a clean CA Motor Vehicle Record
• Class A Driver’s License with current medical certificate.
• Hold a current and valid forklift certification.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward J Ginger Masonry’s safety principles
• Effective verbal communication with customers and team members.
• This position requires working in the internal and external environment.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work without direct supervision while traveling to or on a job site.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Driving record cannot contain any reckless driving offenses, DUI’s, leaving the scene of an accident, etc.
