As a laboratory technician you will perform processes that include following standard operating procedures to refine a raw product into a finished product. Processes include extraction, solvent recovery and molecular distillation. This is a clean room style processing facility. The technician will be required to work in hazardous areas where explosion or fire hazards exist because of flammable gases, vapors, or liquids that are part of the operation. Each process is designed to refine the raw product in a timely, organized manner to achieve maximum efficiency overall.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures.
- Operating and cleaning laboratory equipment.
- Pulling test samples for batches.
- labeling, weighing and packaging product for inventory.
- Following all safety procedures and compliance requirements.
- Recording production run sheets to calculate yield percentages.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- At least 1+ year of experience as a Lab tech from pharma, food and bev, nutraceutical, cosmetics, perfume, med device, biotech, etc, OR
- 4 year degree within the sciences (biology, chemistry, microbiology, biochem, etc.)
