We are pleased to offer a whelping service and aftercare to Bulldog & French Bull Dog owners who feel they would like to breed their dog, but either work full-time; leaving insufficient time for breeding, or lack the confidence and “know how” and would prefer to have their Bulldog or French Bulldog and puppies “nursed” through this period by some-one more experienced. We boast over seven years of active breeding & whelping experience.
Option One – Standard Whelping
Your female gives birth either naturally in her own home environment or via C section at your Vets Office. Shortly after delivery and when safe to do so, she and puppies are delivered to our home. She and her puppies will remain with us for the duration you require, this can be anything from 2 weeks up to eight weeks, although once puppies are fully weaned (usually 4 – 5 weeks), your female can return home, while your puppies can remain for a few more weeks if desired. Your litter will be safe and secure in a temperature controlled pet incubator which includes all the bells and whistles: soft cushion inside, digital temperature/humidity reading, humidifier, fan, heating lamp, temperature regulator & alarm. Your female will be housed indoors and close enough to still see & hear her pups. Each female has their own 37inch steel crate and 3 foot whelping box.
Option Two – Hand Rearing
When possible, puppies should always be reared with their mom… mothers milk is best! However, occasionally problems can arise where the dam refuses to or is unable to rear/feed her puppies. Thankfully this problem is less common; however, it leaves puppies with little chance of survival, unless another way is found by their humans.
We can take the puppies for hand rearing giving a much improved chance of survival. Your litter will be safe and secure in a temperature controlled pet incubator which includes all the bells and whistles: soft cushion inside, digital temperature/humidity reading, humidifier, fan, heating lamp, temperature regulator & alarm. The puppies will be cared for, bottle fed, and reared to the very best of our ability until they are eating solid food, approximately 4 weeks of age.
