Job Title: Purchasing Assistant
Location: Azusa, CA 91702
Pay Rate: $23–$24/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (schedule subject to change)
Job Summary:
The Purchasing Assistant plays a key role in the procurement of automotive parts for resale. This position requires strong attention to detail and efficiency to support purchasing operations and ensure smooth workflow within the Purchasing Department.
Responsibilities:
Perform accurate and timely data entry as directed by the Purchasing Manager or team
Update internal systems with new application years for item lists
Maintain and update item information in SAP Business One
Handle incoming calls and route or provide information as needed
Compile and process purchase orders and requisitions for parts procurement
Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain optimal stock
Communicate with a selected group of suppliers for daily purchasing activities
Coordinate with Receiving to verify deliveries against purchase orders
Track order status and resolve discrepancies
Address issues such as shortages, overages, non-supplied, or damaged goods
Assist with invoice processing and submission to Accounts Payable
Generate and maintain purchasing reports
Perform general administrative support tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
SAP or ERP experience is a plus
Strong in-person communication skills
Excellent phone etiquette
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
