Location: Perris, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Pay: $19/hour
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Sanitation Lead to oversee daily sanitation operations in a food manufacturing/warehouse facility in Perris, CA. Spanish speaking is required to effectively communicate with team members and ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety standards.
Essential Job Duties:
• Assist in developing and maintaining the Sanitation department, including personnel
• Lead and oversee daily plant sanitation activities and sanitation team members
• Train employees on sanitation and food safety procedures
• Oversee the Pest Management program and communicate trends or issues to management
• Monitor and follow up on corrective action plans from internal and external audits
• Update the SDS binder when introducing new chemicals
• Shut down compressor and boiler at the end of shift
• Close out daily sanitation work orders in MaintainX
• Maintain inventories of chemicals, utensils, cleaning tools, and containers
• Communicate sanitation issues to management and direct additional cleaning as needed
• Recommend improvements to plant design, equipment, and sanitation processes
• Use approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces
• Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble food processing equipment
• Clean and sanitize pails and lugers
• Dispose of waste along the assembly line
• Sweep, mop floors, and clean ventilation ducts
• Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience:
• Previous sanitation experience required (lead or supervisory experience preferred)
• Familiarity with food manufacturing or warehouse sanitation practices
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• High attention to detail and safety
• Physical stamina for hands-on sanitation work
• Ability to work full 8-hour shifts and overtime as needed
