Looking for a Caregiver in our home 7am-6pm Saturdays & Sundays. Must be in good physical condition (no back problems) due to maneuvering a 185lb, 45 year old, blind quadriplegic male (we do have a lift). He can communicate, but may take some getting used to as his speech is muffled. Must be comfortable transporting him in his Van to the Casino/church and/or just out and about. He has a catheter so you wouldn't need to worry about taking him to the bathroom, however you will need to be comfortable with changing an adult diaper if he has a bowel movement. You would also be responsible for showering him and all aspects of his personal grooming. Although he's blind and wheelchair bound, he's overall happy (when he's not bored) and enjoys going to the casino to play penny slots, or trips out to get Starbucks and yogurt. The perfect candidate for the job is somebody that is genuinely a happy, caring, enthusiastic, reliable and punctual. Anything can be trained if you have the right personality. Review and possible raise after 6 months. PLEASE NOTE... THIS IS A W2 POSITION. NOT A 1099. NOT UNDER THE TABLE.
