Generator not working - $100 (Crestline)

Standby generator. As far as I know the engine is mechanically okay and so ist the generator itself. It would go into highspeed fault even though the RPMs were normal. A technician said that it has a bad RPM sensor which is part of the control board. A repair wouldn't be worth it for me.
