Myers Electric Company is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction estimating, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate and competitive electrical cost estimates for commercial and residential projects
• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine the scope of work
• Conduct material take-offs and labor pricing using industry standards
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and clarify project requirements
• Assist in bidding proposals and project budgeting
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams throughout the bidding and construction process
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical codes, industry trends, and market pricing
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience required
• Proven experience with commercial or industrial electrical projects preferred
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar)
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
