I’m thinking this is a long shot, but hey…you miss every shot you don’t take.
I’m looking for a Russian language tutor in the Inland Empire. Location is not immediately important, as I can drive, but I’m in Hemet as an FYI.
I’m not exactly sure what type of schedule I would need, but I would like to have equal focus on the spoken language as well as reading and writing.
My background:
I’m a 53 year old, educated guy, now retired, looking to pick up where I left off a number of years ago. I took several years of Russian language in high school, then continued in to college. At one point I was near-fluent in speaking and could read & write almost as well, but that was a looooong time ago.
While learning from a purely conversational bent would be ok, I would like to stay sharp in reading and writing as well. I do not have a specific method in mind, as I would hope to craft the structure with you.
Please note, I am NOT merely looking for someone who speaks Russian, but someone who might have experience teaching, mentoring, or otherwise working with a person or small group/class for the purpose of learning, AND speaks, reads & writes in Russian. Would be helpful if you have lived in Russia.
If you think you might fit the bill, please reply to this message and send along qualifications that are relevant to this gig. I would be looking to do an hour at a time, once per week until a decision to change that occurred. Hourly rate is commensurate with experience, up to $60/hr for top experience.
