Make an offer! This is a vintage muff made from Mink. (I am going by the Google picture identifier of the type of fur as I do not know much about fur) It most likely is from the 1910’s to 1920’s. My grandma was born in 1901 and her mother before then. The satin is not very shiny, but still looks like satin. It is lined with dark satin which is in ok condition - There are some tears way inside the middle of the muff and one in the lining where you put your hand. There is a satin partition at the bottom of the sides below where you put your hands to keep any cold from coming in. There is a wrist strap on the outside to put your hand through. The muff is 19"x16" so is quite big. Though I am not an expert on furs, the fur appears to be in good shape. There are no holes or missing fur, rips, etc. It was in my Grandma's cedar chest for many years. Just recently took it out. It was probably hers or her mother’s muff. This is exceptionally pretty and nice from an era where wearing animal furs was common and needed. It would be great for a collector, theater company, movie studio costume department and other types of groups. I am not a fur expert, but the piece appears to be in good condition for one so old. Antique Fur Muffs half this size are selling on Ebay for over 150.00. Make an offer!
