Open Position: Accountant, Part-Time w/opportunity for Full-time

Marketing Products Group ("MPG") is the creative arm to a 3-part entity that also includes an e-com service provider and an investment group. We provide funding, creative and logistic solutions to a myriad of brands in diverse industries around the globe.

We are seeking a self-directed and experienced bookkeeper to work with our corporate CPA and CEO in Ontario, California. The same responsibilities are expected to be performed in other subsidiaries within this organization.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
o Minimum 3 years of full cycle accounting experience
o High level proficiency in QuickBooks Online Accounting Software
o High level knowledge of MS Office; specifically, Excel
o Problem solving -- identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully.
PLUS:
Public company experience
Experience with logistics (E-commerce, EDI software, import/export) or finance/investment background
Prior experience working with multiple sets of books preferred
Understand foreign currencies and exchanges
Bilingual (Mandarin, Spanish, or French)

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Day to day transactional work
o Manage Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
o Entering expense reports, ensuring that expenses are accrued in the proper periods
o Reconciling bank accounts, including PayPal account on a monthly basis
o Payroll liaison with contracted payroll service, processing as scheduled
o Produce financial reports on monthly basis, P&L
o Quality control -- can demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, monitor own work to ensure quality, and apply feedback to improve performance. Must have good attention to detail and good data entry skills
o Assisting with preparation of yearly 1099 forms and distribution to independent contractors
