I was looking for a bed to purchase when my cousins wife told me her aunt was sekking her stuff because she was losing her place. I then found her to be the sweetest lady and had come across rough times (went through an abusive marriage) but had been working but had a heart attack. She owns her mobile home and is only behind 1,200.00. This is for space rent and utilities. This sickens me to see this. Which rooms have the best views, incite on the check in process (example: Make sure you bring a photo ID), info about the property (example: The best hours to swim in the pool are from 2-4pm), and basic information like whether the hotel has a breakfast (and what time it's at), location and phone number of the hotel....etc...etc.

Each school year, CIEE brings 1,200 exchange students from 55 countries to the United States. By hosting one of these high school students you can make a difference in their lives by teaching them about American culture; In return they will teach you about theirs.

We are currently recruiting host families for the 2008-09 school year. We also have semester programs available. Our students range in age from 15-18 years old and are eager to get a taste of the American family and school culture.

Host families can be retired senior citizens and parents with or without children. The students have their own spending money and love to get involved with the schoool/community and keep busy throughout the school year. There is no need to "constantly entertain" as these students want to and will quickly blend in as one of your family members. Students also love host familes that are "too busy" because it gives them the opportunity to experience much more. General requirements are a quiet area to study in, room and bed (sharing room with same sex within 4 years of age is ok)

Hello guys! I am currently the Program Leader for EF (Education First) Educational Homestay Programs. EF- Our programs allow students ages 12 to 18 to experience life North American style, as they perfect their English skills on programs lasting from 2 to 8 weeks. You can help break down language and cultural barriers by hosting an international student. And as you break down those barriers, you�ll build relationships you�ll never forget. This is a great oppurtunity for exchange students as well as for you and your children.

This summer our group is coming from China.

The dates for this group are July 22- August 12.

WE ARE HAVING A VERY HARD TIME FINDING HOMES. PLEASE CONSIDER HOSTING A STUDENT!!!!!!!

There are about 31 students in this group and many of them still need a host family. Here is a description of what your time would look like while your exchange student is here:

Monday-Thursday students will attend English classes for about 3 1/2 hours in the mornings then will be escorted by ME to different activities.(Students all speak English and should only speak English in your home) These activities will include Mavericks games, museum tours, Disneyland, Universal Studios and a trip to San Fransisco one weekend. All of the daily activities should be done with by 5 or 6pm. The rest of the day will be yours to spend with your student.

Fridays will be set aside for either all day trips, weekend trips or free time with host families.

(If you are interested in seeing a calendar for this group please let me know. I already have it set up.)

As a host family, you are a volunteer. There will be no stipend for hosting. You will be responsible for feeding your student. Carpooling will be set up for host families in your area.

If this sounds interesting, drop me an email and I would be more than happy to set up some time to tell you all about it! Any questions are welcome.

P.S. For every host family that you refer and who becomes a host family, we give you $25.

Volunteers Needed to Help Feed the Seniors in Sun City! (Sun City and Surrounding Areas)

I am organizing volunteers on behalf of Western Eagle Foundation located in Temecula off of Diaz Road.
Western Eagle Foundation has an amazing Food Box program that provides enough food to feed a family of four for a whole week for $25! These boxes are filled with healthy foods including dry/pantry goods, refrigerated and frozen foods, plus breads and vegetables.

Seniors are some of the hardest hit by this economy and the rising prices on gas, food, and medical expenses. This program is a tremendous help to local seniors AND families. However, there are so many seniors up in the Sun City area that do not have the money or transportation to get down to the Western Eagle foundation in Temecula to access this wonderful program. We need volunteers like you to help.

We need several volunteers to donate their time and cars once a week (on Friday). We will go to the Western Eagle Foundation in Temecula, load up our cars with boxes of food and take it to the Senior Center located in Sun City. From there, We will unload and pass out the boxes to the seniors until all are gone (which usually happens with in a couple of hours).
Unfortunately a lot of seniors go home empty handed because we run out of the boxes so quickly. This is why we need several volunteers with big cars, vans or trucks to help so that we can take a large load of these food boxes with us.

If you are interested, and are able to commit one day a week (or even every other week) to help with this great cause, please call me (Jennifer) at 951-834-3632.
If we get enough volunteer, we can look into starting this venture in other surrounding areas who are also in need.

Now more than ever, it is important to understand the world beyond our borders. Families in Riverside and the surrounding area can do just that, by becoming involved in a global cultural exchange through the Aspect Foundation.
Interested families can participate by volunteering to host an Aspect Foundation international high school student for a semester or academic year.
Aspect Foundation students hail from nearly 30 different countries but all share the same dream � to experience the American way of life. These students, who would arrive in August, are aged 15 to 18 and have a wide variety of interests and abilities. They are chosen on the basis of maturity, grades, and language skills.
Host families can be married or single, with or without children. Host families are responsible for providing room, board and a loving home environment for the student. In return, host families and exchange students learn about another culture firsthand, and gain a second family for life! Our volunteers work on the pre-production, production and post production aspects of producing digital books. We work on many subject areas including history, math, sociology/psychology, medical, business and criminal justice. Volunteers are trained in all studio tasks.
We work in two-hour shifts and ask volunteers to commit to two hours per week.
STUDIO HOURS:
Monday-Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Specific abilities needed to volunteer at RFB&D include:

This position enhances ministry and the worship experience by providing technical and general support in audio and visual services.

REQUIREMENTS
� Must have a personal and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.
� Must have a strong willingness to learn about AV equipment and relevant technology knowledge, including presentation software skills with PowerPoint. Training will be provided.
� Leadership experience helpful.
� Must be able to operate multi-input AV systems. Training will be provided.
� Must be a self-starter.
� Must be able to learn how troubleshoot under potentially high stress situations.
� Must demonstrate the ability to perform high quality, detailed work within assigned deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES � Audio, Video, & Lighting

� Assists and/or leads in operating audio-visual recording equipment for the service sermons and series.
� Evaluates and edits sermon recordings to provide quality CD distribution, web uploading, and podcasting for website.
� Assists AV Coordinator in maintenance and repair of equipment as needed.
� Maintains working knowledge of venues and equipment being used.
� Attends and provides technical support for all worship services, events, and meeting venues as scheduled by AV Coordinator.
� Oversees setup and striking of multiple portable sound systems for events.
� Provides leadership, to oversee fluidity of ministry area and attend to ministry needs.
� Completes various academic and spiritual assignments on personal time that will further understanding of the arts ministry, and challenge the character needed to work in the ministry.
� Performs other duties as assigned by the AV Coordinator.
