The La Salina Beach Hotel and Cantina is in the middle of a gringo community on the beach between Rosarito and Ensenada. The Puerto Salina Marina is about 200 yards away. During the week the cantina and surrounding area are mostly quiet. Locals hanging out watching tv or listening to the jukebox. Weekenders roll in throughout the night on Friday and head back to the US on Sunday or early Monday morning. Weekend entertainment at the cantina is a mix of local bands (English), karaoke, jukebox, PPV events, jazz or rock bands. Check out the cantina event calendar for karaoke dates and other events. The South Fork Trinity River is one of the last undammed and wild rivers in California. Downstream of the ranch the valley narrows into a rugged canyon, offering challenging white water for the experienced kayaker from fall to spring.
