I was planning to visit my son and his family in Springfield, MO but the cost of fuel and my budget don't agree. So I am considering taking a passenger. My plans are to take I-40 to Okla. City Then northeast to Springfield. After the visit I planed to go SW to the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area (more visiting) then west on I-20/I-10 back to Riverside.
There isn't any special reason for going in that direction, (it could be the other way around)
If you are needing a ride to someplace alone the route or if you'd like to join me for the whole trip, contact me.
There is no time frame set. I am flexible. I am a single male and I smoke.
I have a 1995 Buick Roadmaster or a 2000 Lincoln Continental I plan to take., If you have the need to tow something, the Buick has a class 3 hitch.
Also, just in case you have several friends that want to go along, I have an MCI bus with two bunks, restroom and will seat 22 people and lots of storage space
The Buick and Lincoln gets about 25/27 MPG. The bus gets about 6/7 MPG.
Share expenses. Without a trailer behind the Buick it will cost about $600.00 for the round trip from Riverside. divided by two that's affordable for me.
Just for the comedy of taking my bus it would cost about $2800.00 divided by 20. Again, It would be affordable.
If you are interested in a vacation or need to move someplace along the way, let me know, we can discuss the details. Like I said, I'm flexible and a retired bus driver.
