COMPANY HISTORY
Diane's began in the spring of 1962. The first store opened was Mickie's Swim Shop in Manhattan Beach, CA. It was a tiny 150 square foot store opened by Diane’s mother, Mickie Bandle. This was the beginning of a future that held much more. The store was out-grown in a very short time and was moved to a larger location, one block up the hill from where two of our Manhattan Beach stores are now located.
The store boomed from the beginning. We featured custom made bikinis that were sewn upstairs for each individual customer. Each customer was fitted downstairs for her new daring bikini, which was 1” below the waist with a crossover triangle top, the “hottest style for 1962”. The total cost for one of these suits, without push-up pads was $12.00. Little girls could also have ones made to match their mom’s. The suits were reversible and absolutely adorable. After 10 successful years in this location Mickie’s bought a lot, built a store to taste and moved down the street, less than a block from the Manhattan Beach Pier.
Realizing we were a unique specialty retailer that was in demand by women, we began to expand. We now have 18 successful locations including our new division, BIKINI and our e-commerce website. We have outlasted many other retailers and withstood changes in the economy because of our passion for swimwear, our dedication to our customers and our commitment to grow.

Attention to merchandise trends and refinement is a year round team effort. By carefully researching our customer buying trends and needs, we have been able to stock merchandise that our customers are in search of. Each Diane’s customer is sent off to their fabulous destination in an equally fabulous wardrobe. Our customers visit our stores often, knowing our merchandise is always evolving and on the cutting edge of fashion.

STORE MANAGER
Responsibilities: Looking for a high-energy motivated leader to take Diane’s Beachwear to the next level. Must have 2+ years of specialty store management experience.
- Recruit, train and lead a successful team of Fit Specialists that provide the ultimate level of customer service and obtain operational excellence at all times.
- Diagnose, develop and evaluate the performance of all sales and stock team members.
- Enforce Loss Prevention Policies and awareness on the floor in order to control external and internal shrink.
- Collaborate with Director of Stores in analysis of store-level reports; create and execute action plans accordingly to maximize results.
- Uphold and evaluate established best practices and communicate feedback to Director of Storesr.
- Maintain store presence and communicate merchandise needs through "Feedback to Buyers".
- Hold all store employees accountable for maintaining a clean, visually pleasing and energetic work environment.
