Production Supervisor (Rancho Cucamonga)

compensation: $40,000 - $45,000 DOE / 2nd SHIFT

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervision of shift employee workers. Produce products according to the schedule. Maintain records, train employees, operate equipment safety, and understand regulations and standard operating procedures.


[] Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
[] Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
[] Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries
[] Develop team member focus on product quality, food safety, employee safety, housekeeping and productivity
[] Ensure that formulas and batching procedures are understood and followed
[] Identify areas for productivity and cost improvement, develop team goals and action plans and provide progress reports
[] Promote and maintain high level of awareness and adherence to safety requirements
[] Provide daily and weekly production reports as requested by management
[] Enforce all rules, regulations and procedures
[] Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP's, safety and quality standards at all times
[] Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects
[] Other duties as assigned


[] 2+ years with supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably food
[] Food manufacturing experience is a plus
[] Proven ability to develop and lead teams
[] Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills
[] Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel


[] High school diploma or GED, prefer some college, or equivalent
[] Minimum of 2 year in food safety, food science or culinary arts, or equivalent experience


[] Excellent interpersonal skills
[] Strong verbal and written communication
[] Proficient in English, bilingual (Spanish) required
