Experience required: 2-3 years in a manufacturing environment, working knowledge of BOM construction, part number configurations, work order flow logic and basic understanding of job shop or fabrication required. <br>
<br>
Skills required: Proficient in Solidworks is a 100% must , working knowledge of Protel, Auto-cad a plus but not required, able to create excel spread sheets. Successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively written / orally. Must possess high degree of work ethic, accuracy and have a team can do attitude.  Minimum of two yr. completed JUCO degree.<br>
<br>
Position offers a full time position, forty hours per week, hourly w/some OT and Saturday work required. After a successful probation 90 day probation period, employee will be eligible for company co-pay medical, dental and eye-care benefits, company contributed 401K plan, sick and vacation pay.<br>

1. Under the supervision of a registered Professional Engineer or other project manager, modifies and develops engineering plans and finds engineering solutions for problems in paving, drainage, water, wastewater, erosion control, traffic, communications, landfills, transfer stations, plant improvements, and other projects.
<br>
2. Reviews and prepares technical reports, engineering designs, and construction or process specifications to ensure projects conform to departmental requirements and city, state and federal regulations.
<br>
3. Communicates with other departments, citizens, consultants, contractors, and other government agencies to coordinate activities and provide information about projects. 
<br>
4. Produces and maintains project records for use by department and outside agencies.
<br>
5. Assists in developing scopes of work (i.e., tasks and milestones) and project budgets to forecast construction schedules and establish project objectives or process operation, optimization, and enhancements.
<br>
6. Inspects and monitors construction or maintenance projects to ensure compliance with design specifications and contractual agreements.
<br>
7. Performs related duties as assigned.
<br>
 <p>
Minimum Qualifications:  
<br>
(1) Accredited bachelors degree in engineering OR (2) accredited bachelors degree in engineering technology plus four years of active practice in engineering work (applying engineering design/analysis practices as an engineering drafter or design technician) OR (3) bachelors degree in mathematical, physical, or engineering science approved by letter from the Board of Professional Engineers plus four years of active practice in engineering work as described above.

Must have strong Southern California ties within the Public Sector engineering and construction industry; and an in-depth background in business development and field knowledge in the capacity of a Program or Project Manager. Must have Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management experience pertaining to public entities.

<b>EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:</b>

Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field. (Required)

Minimum of 15 years of progressive and position related work experience in construction management, and at least 5-10 years of related work experience managing two or more employees/ staff members (Required)

LEED Professional Accreditation and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is preferred.

<b>DUTIES:</b> The successful candidate will:<br>
<br>
	Perform laboratory tests on construction materials and mock-up constructions including any of the following: fire resistance, structural performance, effects of weathering and temperature exposure, materials properties.<br>
	Construct test samples such as building walls, roofs, flooring, interior and exterior finishes; and preparing materials samples for small-scale properties test.<br>
	Set up electrical and mechanical test equipment; calibrate measurement devices; design, build, or modify test equipment.<br>
	Compile test data, analyze results, perform calculations, complete technical reports.<br>
	Communicate well with customers and other staff members by email, telephone, and in-person meetings (a limited amount of travel may be required to client sites).<br>

	Excellent computer skills primarily with MS Word and Excel.<br>
