Job Description: Senior Estimator Concrete Structures / Caltrans Bridge
Classification: Full-Time, Permanent, Salaried Exempt
The role of estimator is a critical one. Your ability to predict the cost of work that occurs in the field and the indirect cost of that same work is paramount to being a successful Estimator.
Job Duties and Requirements:
• Work directly for the chief estimator
• Responsible for developing the project structure estimates for
o Bridge and highway work
o Water filtration and waste water structures
• Knowledge of false work and concrete forming methods
• Knowledge of Southern California marketplace
• Public and Private Clients
• Strong communication skills for bid reviews and client presentations
• Projects to $100 million
• Design Build experience a plus
• Caltrans experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering / Management
• Minimum 5 to 10 years estimating experience***(only applicants fulfilling this requirement will be considered)
